Introduction:

3. What is our spiritual food? (Mt. 4:4).

B. Spiritual labor is life’s first priority.
1. Our mission, calling, passion is “to seek and save the lost” (Lk. 19:10).
2. How are we called?

I. We Are Called by the Gospel.

A. There is great confusion about religious calling (1 Cor. 14:33).

B. The apostle Paul describes our calling in 2 Thessalonians 2:14.

C. What are we called to do?

II. We Are Called to Work.

A. We are called to engage in good works (Eph. 2:10; Tit. 2:11-14).

B. Our spiritual food involves works that contribute to “seeking and saving the lost” (Jn. 4:35; 1 Pet. 2:9).

C. So, then…

III. Consider Your Devotion to the Call of God.

A. Devotion is for every Christian (1 Cor. 16:15; Rm. 12:10-11).

B. Devotion (addiction): “to form a confirmed practice of; to be completely possessed by a habit.”

C. Doing doesn’t diminish grace (Eph. 2:8-9; Jas. 2:26).

Conclusion:

Why not accept the challenge of making God’s will your spiritual food?

Do one thing each day to make a positive difference in someone’s life.
