Church Events
After updating the congregation of the new year and the events that are planned, it has created an exciting atmosphere here at Greenbrier. There are many things to look forward to. Ranging from youth rallies to breakfasts to seminars, a plethora of things have been put into motion for this year in an effort to strengthen the church. One particular event that I’m excited about is this weekend for the youth which is Youth Outreach University. This event is intended for both youth and adults and I have been told that it is a wonderful event to help Christians focus on their faith. In turn, this makes it a great advantage for those who are non-Christians to receive God’s word in a way that can impact their lives. This sounds like a very popular event, which means there will be many churches going to it. I love events like these because it gives me a physical view of what Heaven would be like; Christians gathering all in one place at one time lifting up the name of our Lord in song, praising Him for all things. The theme for it this year “You Better Recognize” rings the ears. There are so many directions that this them can go in and I am excited to hear these lessons. I hope and pray that in different church events we can find encouragement through them. These events are intended for our learning. Let us take these things the church plans and run with them. If we are not growing as Christians, we are failing as Christians. I want to encourage all of us to attend events so that our faith might be strengthened.
