INTRODUCTION:

A. There is coming a day of glad reunion!
B. Someday can carry a wide-range of meaning (Num. 32:23).
C. Before that final, everlasting someday, there are three other somedays which must be faced.

I. THERE WILL BE A SOMEDAY WHEN OUR FAITH WILL BE TESTED.

A. “Into each life some rain must fall” (cf. Mt. 5:45; Lk. 16:25; Gen. 18:25; Prov. 24:10; Hb. 3:15, 13; 2 Cor. 6:2).

B. “Some glad morning when this life is o’er, I’ll fly away…” (Albert Brumley).

C. Success in handling that someday when our faith will be tested requires faith in the Lord (Rev. 2:10; 1 Jn. 5:4; Rm. 10:17; Hb. 4:12; Jas. 2; Eph. 6:10).

II. THERE WILL BE A SOMEDAY WHEN WE REACH THE FINAL RIVER.

A. Life’s final journey is compared to Israel’s adventures in the wilderness
(Hb. 4:1, 9, 11).

B. We have one more river to cross (Hb. 9:27; 2:14-15; Gal. 3:16, 26-29;
Ps. 116:15).

C. Considering that someday, we must learn to trust and obey!

III. THERE WILL BE A SOMEDAY WHEN WE STAND BEFORE GOD IN JUDGMENT.

A. Life is headed toward judgment (Hb. 9:27; Rm. 14:10, 12: Eccl. 12:13-14).

B. Life is sandwiched between eternities (2 Pet. 3:10; 1 Jn. 2:17).

C. We like comfort; but change is coming (2 Pet. 3:3-4, 9; 1 Th. 5:6; Jas. 4:14;
Prov. 23:4-5).

D. We can be certain of coming judgment (Acts 17:31; 2 Cor. 5:10; Jn. 12:48).

CONCLUSION:

A. Someday, there is coming a day of glad reunion!
B. Someday, we will receive our final reward.
C. Are you ready for that someday to come? (Eph. 1:3; 2 Cor. 5:7; 1 Jn. 1:7; Jude 21;
2 Pet. 3:18; 2 Cor. 5:9).
