INTRODUCTION:

C. A look beneath the surface shows that spiritual CPR is needed to reveal symptoms

The command to wake up reveals that they were asleep.

The command to strengthen reveals that they had become lethargic.

I. Strengthen (sterizo) What Remains (Rev. 3:2; Lk. 16:26; 9:51; Jas. 2:26; Tit. 3:8).

II. Rely On God for Strength (2 Th. 3:3; 1 Pet. 5:10; Eph. 2:8; Jas. 5:8; 1 Pet. 1:13).

III. Build On the Word of God (Mt. 7:24; Jas. 1:22; Lk. 22:32; 1 Th. 3:2; Mt. 28:20; Acts 14:21-22; 15:32, 41; 18:23; Rm. 16:26; 2 Pet. 1:12).
