A. Kingdoms rise and fall.

B. What can we do in the face of decline?

I. We Must Lament After the Lord.

A. Israel lamented after the Lord (1 Sam. 7:2).

B. Separation from God is the result of sin (Is. 59:1-2).

C. We must come to full awareness of our separation.

II. We Must Return to the Lord.

A. Worldly sorrow will not produce genuine repentance.

B. Repentance requires specific application of God’s word to our lives.

C. Four conditions for deliverance:

III. We Must Pledge Our Ongoing Faithfulness to the Lord.

A. Prayer, water, confession

B. Genuine repentance
