Many go to great lengths to discover answers to the puzzling realities of life. In the realm of science, we have only just begun to unveil the mysteries of this world. Consider, by way of example, the Artic Tern. From their nesting area in Cape Cod, their migration takes them across the Atlantic Ocean to the coast of Africa. Once again, their flight resumes until they reach Antarctica. When nature calls for their return, they fly all the way back to the exact spot from which they left in the first place. In all, the journey covers an astounding 22,000 miles! Why do these birds make such a journey? Science as yet to discover the answer. Indeed, there are some things for which we have no explanation.

When seeking answers to the spiritual realities of life, man must acknowledge his need for divine guidance. Apart from revelation, we do not have the ability to answer the basic questions of life. Where did I come from? Why am I here? Where am I going? Science’s answer is as feeble as their effort to explain the migration of the Arctic Tern. Only Jesus can provide answers to the questions which relate to the soul’s salvation (cf. Colossians 2:3 and John 14:6). Don’t be beguiled by the pseudo-intellectualism of this age, for God has made foolish the wisdom of this world (1 Corinthians 1:20).
